The clear, unpolluted skies of Queenstown are a world class setting for the stargazing experience.
Perched high above Queenstown and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, our location provides the perfect opportunity to access a 'hidden world' not seen by the naked eye, and impossible to see from many other locations around the globe.
The Stargazing tour takes guests to a specially-constructed platform high above the Skyline complex, allowing for an unbelievably clear view of the night sky. High powered telescopes reveal stunning sights not visible to the naked eye.
Learn to navigate using the iconic Southern Cross
See over 6000 stars including the magnificent Alpha Centauri
Explore the Milky Way and be captivated by the constellations and planets that make up our galaxy
Spot satellites and shooting stars
Tours will run every night, weather dependent and start from 6:00pm in winter to 10:45pm in the summer months.
Allow two hours in total, including Gondola transit time. Please arrive at the base of the Gondola at least 30min prior to start time.
A Canada Goose jacket will be provided for the duration of the tour. Guests are advised to wear warm, comfortable walking shoes.
Chinese and Japanese speaking guides are available on request. Minimum numbers apply.
