TSS Earnslaw Cruise and Walter Peak High Country Farm
A return scenic cruise from Queenstown to Walter Peak High Country Farm on board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw. Following the 40 minute cruise from Queenstown, disembark at Walter Peak High Country Farm to experience farming life. There is time to wander through the lakeside gardens and enjoy tea/coffee and home baking in the Colonel’s Homestead surrounded by views of the lake and mountains. The farm demonstrators take visitors on a walking tour of the farmyard and there is opportunity to view the farm animals - sheep, red deer, alpacas and Scottish Highland cattle.
Highlights of the farming experience are watching the farm demonstrator shear a sheep, and sheep dogs working the stock. After the farmyard tour there is time for shopping at the souvenir shop and view a wool spinning demonstration before boarding the TSS Earnslaw for the return cruise to Queenstown. Suitable for all ages.
Note: Passengers are welcome to stay on at Walter Peak and connect with the next TSS Earnslaw sailing to Queenstown (2 hours later).
Morning/Afternoon Tea and Meals:
A country style morning or afternoon tea is served in the Colonel’s Homestead with freshly baked goods at the farm served with tea, coffee or juice.
A variety of food and beverages (including espresso coffee) are available for purchase on board the TSS Earnslaw from the Promenade Café. Café style food available includes freshly baked home-style pies, quiche, pizza, freshly filled rolls and sandwiches, muffins, scones, slices, assorted cakes and pastries, most baked daily in our galley.
Bar Facilities:
Full bar services operate on board the TSS Earnslaw as it cruises to and from Walter Peak and in the Colonel’s Homestead.

Comfortable shoes, waterproof jacket, warm clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat and camera.
