Moke Lake is a beautiful location 15 minutes drive from Queenstown and here we do a 1.5 hours trek. Beginners and children as young as 5 will be guided by one of our many experienced trek guides past new born lamb's and calf's to the viewpoint then onto more flat terrain and ride along the shores of this stunning lake. We cross over several creeks where gold has been found for the last 200 years so keep your eyes pealed for that shiny nugget! On our return home watch out for many different varieties of birds and other interesting activities that go on in this 35,000 acre working farm.
Bring warm clothes, sun block, camera's and covered toe shoes.
We pick up from The Station Building (on the corner of Camp & Shotover Street) at 9am, 12 noon & 3pm for this trek. On arrival we do a safety brief and get you kitted up for your 1.5 hours ride.
Our free bus leaves from "the station" information building at 9am, 12 noon and 3pm. If you are making your own way then please arrive at Moke Lake 10 minutes after these station pick up times. Allow 3 hours in total for return to Queenstown. Bookings essential. PLEASE NOTE: Trekking is seasonal, we trek from 1st October until 30th April.
